Those Who Fear Interview

Anchor Music News had the privilege of interviewing John, lead singer of Those Who Fear. We talk about the new album, sports, and food.

AnchorMusicRob:Congratulations on the release of Death Sentence. It is an excellent record.

John: Thank you

AnchorMusicRob:What was the inspiration behind Death Sentence?

John: That is hard to say. There is no unifying message. We are born to die. Life is temporary. There is more to this life

AnchorMusicRob: Where did the name come from?

John: It came from multiple scriptures. God’s blessing for those who fear him. The name came from our original drummer.

AnchorMusicRob: How is Death Sentence different from Unholy Anger?

John: It maintains our sound with more production and sound. It is less drowney with higher energy and simplicity.

AnchorMusicRob: It is more technical and more mature.

AnchorMusicRob: I noticed you had Ryan from Fit For A King and Nick from Molotov Solution on Death Sentence. Who would be your dream guest vocalist?

John: Jamie Jasta from Hatebreed and Corey Taylor of Slipknot

AnchorMusicRob: How does coming from Pittsburgh influence your music?

John: It is very blue collar. That is where we got our work ethic. We have worked hard. There is a great local scene that influenced us.

AnchorMusicRob: Who is your favorite sports team?

John: Penguins the best in the world. Sidney Crosby is one of the best and is a team player.

AnchorMusicRob: What is your favorite food in Pittsburgh?

John: Permani Bro’s, Peppie’s who has the Rothlesburger

AnchorMusicRob: What bands inspire you?

John: Hatebreed, Disturbed, Mudvayne, Emmure, and Bury Your Dead

AnchorMusicRob: Thank you for the time

John: No problem

Make sure to pick up Death Sentence on iTunes and Amazon. Look for them on a tour that is coming to your city. You won’t want to miss them.
