I don’t know about you, but I am tired of this cold winter weather. This months playlist starts with “Cold” by Brooklyn artist, Nick Hakim. “Winter” is from a 2006 acoustic album, by the amazing Bayside. “Weather” is a beautiful song by Novo Amor, from his 2014 EP Woodgate, NY.
Next is a song that may actually make you “Shiver” by Australian singer Bri Clark. Next in line is “Back To Autumn” by Tall Heights, from their 2015 EP, Holding On, Holding Out.
“Liar Liar” is a very catchy love song by our very own Jacob Andrew. I really do wonder what she did to make him write that song. Poor Jacob. Next up is a Virginia Beach native, Kenna, with “Sleep When We Die”. Kenna is a One For One artist, who donates money to several causes. I first fell in love with Kenna back in 2003, when I came across his absolutely beautiful album, New Sacred Cow, which you can listen to on Spotify.
“Who We Are” is next, by Switchfoot, a band I was not familiar with, until speaking with our editor, Rob Clark. This may be my favorite song from them. It is from their 2013 album, Fading West. “Understand” is next, by New Orleans rock band Variants, followed by “Nerve” from The Story So Far‘s latest self-titled album. “Too Big World” is a song by Ume, a band I came across watching Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations Austin, TX episode, which made me put Austin on the top of my list of places to visit. Lastly, we have Royale, a Houston based metal band, with “This Is My Life” You can watch the video for this song here. I hope you guys are enjoying these playlists, because I really enjoy making them and introducing you to great artists.
