fit-for-a-king-2016

Fit For a King has released one of the most anticipated Metalcore albums in 2016. This album and band continue to live up to all the hype surrounding them. They are a band that will only get bigger and bigger.

Rob: Who is Fit For A King?

Ryan: We are a band that aims to interact with our fans and spread a positive message.

Rob: What inspired your new record?

Ryan: Observing how big of an effect death has in all our lives, and how our world works.

Rob: What was different about recording “Deathgrip” than other previous records?

Ryan: When our band went to track Slave To Nothing, our bass player, Tuck, had joined the band nine days prior; we barely knew him. After two years, we have all become a tight-knit unit, or we could go as far as saying a family.

Rob: How much did fans play a part in creating the new record?

Ryan: They played a huge role in the record, from directly inspiring four songs on the album, to their opinions shaping how we wrote our instruments.

Rob: What is “Dead Memory” about?

Ryan: It’s based on the story of my wife’s relationship with her father, or lack of. He was absent most of her life and that took a big toll on her.

Rob: How did Jake Luhrs become a guest vocalist?

Ryan: We became good friends with him after the Frozen Flame Tour in 2015. It seemed like a no brainer to get him on the track.

Rob: What is the main thing you want fans to get from your new music?

Ryan: We want them to feel the emotion and sincerity throughout every track, because we poured everything into each song.

Rob: How does the rest of 2016 look for the band?

Ryan: It looks amazing, non-stop touring around the world.
