How do you disassemble Band Hero drums?
The latches are attached to the frame just underneath the drum pad region. Remove the main drum section. Locate the switch in the middle of the drum stand and flip it up. The drum stand should look like an “H” and the switch you’re looking for is in the middle part of the “H.” Pull the two stands apart.
Can you use rock band drums as a MIDI controller?
This is a little program I wrote because I wanted to use my Rock Band 2 drums as a handy MIDI controller for my digital audio workstation, and there didn’t seem to be any freely available software to make this easy to do. It works very effectively for a simple utility program, achieving a relatively low latency.
